A graduate of the UBC Southern Medical Program (2016) and the Chilliwack Family Medicine Program (2018), Dr. Costello’s early training included an Integrated Community Clerkship in Fort St. John, where he first discovered the value of PoCUS in rural and longitudinal care settings. After residency he locumed around the province before taking on a part-time rural remote practice in Bella Bella from 2020–2025. He is deeply committed to improving access to high-quality care and empowering learners with essential clinical tools—particularly through the integration of PoCUS into foundational medical training. Through his teaching roles with the Southern Medical Program and the KGH Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Costello aims to inspire the next generation of clinicians.
